Sir Juan Sanchez de Mendoza y Loyola

Unto the Populace of Lochac do Niáll and Sabine send greetings.

It is with great sorrow in our hearts that We write to you today to share the sad news that Our dear friend, Sir Juan Sanchez de Mendoza y Loyola has passed away.

Mendoza’s presence touched many of us. He was a long term servant to Lochac and will be particularly missed in the Barony of Rowany, where so many of you would have met him at Festival, and where he served Us all so well as Baron.

As we collectively grieve the loss of Mendoza, We know the Populace will support and rally around his wife, Hrodny, and their family and friends at this sad time. Mendoza was His Majesty’s friend and he will be very sorely missed.

Yours in Service to Lochac

Madhatters Feast of Friendship – Stegby

This weekend Her Majesty had the pleasure of journeying to the Canton of Stegby to celebrate their 10th Anniversary event at the Mad Hatter’s Feast, where She very much enjoyed the marvellous hospitality of this vibrant and creative Canton.
Together with the truly enjoyable company of Their Excellencies of River Haven and St Florian and a bountiful feast, a brilliant event has been enjoyed by all – Our heartiest congratulations to the stewards and their team. Huzzah!

Cold War and St Florian Baronial

Greetings unto the glorious Populace of Lochac! We hope this missive finds Our dear and loyal friends in good health and of good cheer.

We wish to thank the hardworking and industrious event and feast Stewards, and their teams, who provided such wonderful hospitality for Us at Cold War and the St Florian Baronial last weekend.

Cold War certainly lives up to its name with very cold weather spreading across Our lands from the south! Yet friendly faces and warm company, combined with worthy foes and lively scenarios ensured a good time was enjoyed by all.

The St Florian Baronial saw many worthy gentles appointed to stand as Champions and Guards to the Baron and Baroness of St Florian, and it was Our very great pleasure to extend an invitation to Duke Sir Alaric to join the Order of the Pelican. Duke Alaric (Stephen Parsons) will be admitted to the Order at St Florian’s annual Bottony Cross heraldic melee event in October, and We are very much looking forward to acknowledging Alaric’s decades of dedicated service to the Society.

Yours in Service to Lochac,
