Fields of Gold – Politarchopolis

Unto the decidedly dedicated Populace of Lochac does King Niáll and Queen Sabine send fond greetings.

Like many of your good selves, We have just returned from the highlight of the Politarchopolis calendar – Fields of Gold. Where We enjoyed a fabulous weekend complete with water dragons and ominous night skies. Conditions were somewhat trying, but all who braved them were rewarded with much learning, fighting and feasting. It was Our most genuine pleasure to have had the opportunity to recognise so many of Our Populace for their talents, skills and services, and We thank all those in attendance for their patience as We had much Court Business to conduct!

It was also Our very great Honour to see Aonghus mac Griogair mhic Raghniall recognised as the 50th Knight of Our Kingdom upon his admittance to the Order of Chivalry. The weekend also saw Their Excellencies, the Honourable Ladies, Baronesses Alessia du Cheval Blanc and Honouré Corbault admitted to the right noble Order of the Pelican for their years of dedication and service, and Her Excellency, The Honourable Christine Bess Duvant was recognised as a Mistress of the Order of the Laurel for her outstanding pursuits in clothing and costuming.

We thanks all the stewards and their diligent and meticulously hard working teams for creating such a wonderful and memorable Fields of Gold. We look forward to Rowany Yule shortly then onwards to Ynys Fawr for the Tournament of the Rizing Razorback!

Rekkrthing – Aneala

Unto the lovely and most lively populace of Lochac do King Niáll and Queen Sabine send exhausted but exhilarated greetings!

This weekend saw Us travel to Rekkrthing in the wonderful Barony of Aneala to visit with the committed and devoted gentles of Our western shores, where We were met with such glorious greetings and magnificent hospitality. We greatly enjoyed the Bear Pit tournament, where many an intrepid and gallant fighter attempted to fight for honour and glory and assured entrance to the halls of Valhalla!

Along with wonderfully entertaining feats on the field, there were also games and a marvellous feast that followed filled with delights for the plate and fabulous entertainment. Our congratulations and very great thanks to the steward, Lokki Rekkr and his very hard-working and accomplished team, who created such a tremendous occasion and made Us all feel so very welcome. Huzzah!

It was Our honour and privilege to visit with you all and We both hope it will not be too long before We may venture west to meet with you all again.

Yours in Service to Lochac

Niáll & Sabine.

November Crown – Stowe on the Wold

Until the populace of Lochac does Niall and Sabine send warmest greetings.

What a magnificent event was had by all who attended Crown Tournament last weekend! Thank you to Our gracious Hosts, the Baron and Baroness of Rowany, and Our congratulations to the stewarding and feasting team from Stowe-on-the Wawld for a simply marvellous event. Particular thanks to Mistress Finn for managing the weather for us.

We wish to thank all those honourable combatants who entered Our List to vie for the Crown of Lochac. It was a very well distinguished list that demonstrated for all in attendance, more than its fair share of prowess, honour and chivalry. We were honoured to see so many members of Our Royal Household take the field – many of whom were fighting for Platonic Consorts! We were excessively pleased (and relieved) that all combatants managed to attend the event in the face of some excessively harrowing travel logistics. We are likewise exceedingly gratified to have found for Our populace, worthy Heirs who We know will serve you dutifully.

We also had the privilege of elevating Magnifica Juliana de Northwood to be the newest member of the Order of Defence and a number of important Kingdom announcements – We have extended the warrant of Our hardworking Kingdom Seneschal, Baron Lachlahn Dunbar for six months, and We had the pleasure of announcing that November Crown 2020 shall be held in the Barony of Saint Florian de la Riviere.

We have many amazing events coming up – Rekkrthing in Aneala, Fields of Gold in Politarchopolis, the Tournament of the Rising Razorback in Ynys Fawr, and newly added to Our Progress, a visit to Rowany Yule.

Once again, We wish our heartiest congratulations to Our Heirs, Crown Prince Theurderic and Crown Princess Engelin, and We look forward to seeing many of you over the coming weeks.

Yours in Service to Lochac,

Niall & Sabine.

Unto the fortune favoured Populace of Lochac does Niáll and Sabine send Greetings.

We have Heirs! Huzzah!

After a marvellously attended and exceedingly well-fought tourney, with and nail biting final against Sir Alain Quartier, Count Sir Theuderic emerged victorious fighting for his lovely consort, Countess Engelin. It was Our great duty and honour to proclaim Them Crown Prince and Princess of Lochac and name Them as Our rightful Heirs.

Yours in Service to Lochac,

Niáll & Sabine.

Unto the Good Gentles of Lochac does Niáll and Sabine send warm greetings.

It is with long held anticipation that We look forward to tomorrow’s tournament and festivities. We do, however, have some updates for you all:

Master William Castille and his consort, Mistress Katherine Alicia of Salisbury, as well as Sir Kitan von Falkenburg and his consort, Baroness Alesia de Cheval Blanc have regrettably had to withdraw from the Crown Tournament and We will unfortunately not have the pleasure of seeing them upon the field tomorrow.

Further, We acknowledge there are considerable mundane travel impediments impacting quite a number of Our intended combatants at the moment. We will do Our very best to accomodate those impacted by inclement weather conditions. We beg the Populace’s indulgence and understanding as We may need to be a little flexible with the intended start time of the Crown Tournament.

Battle of the Bottony Cross

Unto the bountiful and beauteous Populace of Lochac does Queen Sabine send warm greetings and hearty salutations!

This last weekend saw the North celebrating the annual Battle of the Bottony Cross. A huge congratulations to Duke Sir Gabriel (Alex West) and his fabulous team on such a wonderful even that holds a special place in Our heart.

Our Royal Team consisting of my champion Sir Leofric (Lee Laver), Sir Henri (Josh Lehmann) and the most recent armiger of Our realm, Lady Dianata, acquitted themselves on the field most admirably on Our behalf, and appeared to have a wonderful time doing so!

Congratulations to Duke Sir Master Alaric (Stephen Parsons) who was Pelican’d in a truly lovely ceremony (video to follow). A wonderful even was had by all, and such a magnificent feast was enjoyed – Our compliments to the feasting team!
