Machu Picchu Quote

We are looking at getting together a group of people who want to do Machu Picchu on a private tour rather than the ship tour.  From the quotes I got from Princess, the ship tour is priced at $3,499pp… which we thought was ridiculously steep.

I’ve seen a lot of great testimonials in my Princess Cruises Passenger Forums for private SMALL GROUP tours run by Jaime from Patagonia Shore Excursions.  So I contacted him to get some information.  Jaime was quick to reply to my query and has sent me the following itinerary that will suit our sailing – on the Sea Princess 84 nights Circle South America cruise, leaving January 11th 2017.  He has started a group for us, and we are wondering if anyone else is interested in joining in this tour… Remember this is a SMALL GROUP tour, which offers greater flexibility and less being herded like cattle!  If you are – just comment on this post!  🙂

Itinerary and approximate costings (flight prices may alter a little) are as follows:

UPDATE:  Some price reductions that should help people get some discounted fares.

  2. Hi Robyn, Can you send us more details on the Machu Picchu trip you are planning? We are doing the Circle South America Cruise in January 2107, and may be interested in joining? Cheers, Larraine & Bert.

    • Hi Larraine & Bert
So exciting! The itinerary is all just as laid out above. There are two options for paying your deposit – either a USD$320pp deposit now or you can pay for your flights now as well to lock in the price of those flights in case the airline quotes fluctuates. We opted to lock in the flight prices to help us budget a little better.
All you need to do is email Jaime Liebrecht at [email protected] with your detail and let him know you want to be in the ‘ROBYN GROUP’ he created and he’ll answer any questions you have and send you an invoice for your booking with the deposit information.
      Can’t wait to meet you!
      Robyn

  3. My wife and I are interested in this side trip from the Sea Princess so perhaps you could get back to me for a chat. Is princess cruises okay with this set up.

    • Hi Lance,
So sorry I have only just seen this! For some reason, the notification went to my Spam folder.
There is still space on this trip if you are interested.
Yes, Princess are aware that people arrange their own overland trips to Machu Picchu on South American tours all the time. Obviously the onus is on our operator to make sure we get back to the ship with plenty of time, and Jaime is well familiar with those requirements, and guarantees us a timely return.
If you are still keen, email Jaime at [email protected] and just let him know you have been in touch with me.
      Cheers!
      Robyn 🙂
